Some Presets from emptyvessel's Kenopsia for Arturia Pigments
New Zealand based composer and sound designer emptyvessel has created an AMAZING set of presets for Arturia's Pigments called "Kenopsia." It contains 48 sounds suitable for ambient, dark ambient, sound track, lo-fi and other forms of "broken musics"... Each sound is almost a world of its own, but they are NOT big, frequency spanning, overly produced, one note wonders. Quite the contrary, the sounds reward subtle manipulation and attention to their details. Use the mod wheel and Pigments' four macro controls to bring out important aspects of each sound. (I find it to be the most fun when I map the macro controls, filter controls, and envelopes to a midi controller.) The sounds don't need a lot to show their inner beauty, and I wanted their inner workings to be front and center, so these 10 or so examples are based on single notes or simple intervals and I only adjusted the macro controls and modwheel. (Besides, I have one hand in a cast so playing is a bit of a challenge at the moment!) You can find Kenopsia (and a ton of other amazing sound sets) over at https://store.emptyvessel.co.nz/ #emptyvessel #arturiapigments #ambientmusic #darkambient #lofi #lofimusic
Dark Pitch Resuscitation
It’s 3am. You’re driving across a very dark, very flat territory. There are no other cars in sight. The radio signal begins to fade. You turn the dial. You hear something strange between stations. You grab your phone to record what you’re hearing... (Created for Marc Weidenbaum's Disquiet Junto Project #407)
