ODD-1

First Contact Guide

The FIRST CONTACT Guide is an introduction to the ODD-1. It gets you to where the panel makes sense. It starts with the idea the instrument is built around: playheads moving through a sample, pulling out short grains and stacking them into sound. Then it maps the panel, follows the signal from sample to reverb, and gets sound out with a quick start. From there each section goes deeper. The last section covers system settings.

Online Reference

The Online Reference documents the whole ODD-1. Sort it by signal path, from sample to reverb, or by scope, from a single grain up to global settings, or just search as you type. A section on working with the ODD-1 covers textures, sample regions, macros, and playing beyond the panel, and patch recipes give step-by-step starting points. It opens in a browser and prints to a clean document.

Please note: This is independent documentation, not published or supported by Oddment Audio. I own an ODD-1 and took notes while learning the instrument. It got a bit out of hand.

I'll keep it current with firmware releases as best I can. If you find something that needs correcting, I'd be glad to hear about it. There's a contact form on this site, or find me on the Oddment Discord as @gnapier.
