tap·es·try
/ˈtapəstrē/
An intricate or complex combination of things or sequence of events.
I'm particularly enamored of the lo-fi, "found" and "broken" sound of artists like r beny, Phelios, Hainbach, Amulet, and James Nathan Jones. I have been fascinated by the renaissance of tape and its application in loop-based music.
So I thought I would start exploring this for myself.
I've put together a small collection of machines. Some I've pulled out of the attic and put into the local repair shop. Several I've found on eBay. There's at least one or two more I'd like to eventually find...
I'm going to call this project TAPESTRY ... for a while anyway. I'm not sure that it is the most original of names, but it has the advantage of being at least partially descriptive of the process and outcome. It's good shorthand for me as I work through this.
